Preserved Snowflake Art, 25mm Real Snowflake Glass Display, Natural Snow Crystal

Own a little piece of a Colorado winter storm, collected by hand and transformed into a one-of-a-kind work of natural art.
This beautiful 25mm preserved snowflake display features a single, naturally formed snow crystal, carefully collected during a Colorado snowfall and permanently preserved within glass and resin.
Unlike a storm cluster, this piece celebrates the extraordinary beauty of an individual snowflake. Its delicate branches and intricate crystalline geometry reveal the remarkable detail hidden within something so small and fleeting.
Each preserved snowflake captures a moment from a winter storm, allowing its naturally formed structure to be admired long after the snowfall has passed.
Capture Dates: January 24–26, 2026
Location: Penrose, Colorado
Display Size: 25mm

Every snowflake begins high within the clouds, where changing temperatures and humidity shape its intricate crystalline structure. As each crystal grows, it develops delicate branches and geometric patterns influenced by the atmospheric conditions it encounters.
During active Colorado winter storms, I carefully collect these fragile crystals by hand and preserve them while working below freezing. Temperature, humidity, wind, light, and even a single breath can affect a snowflake before preservation is complete.
Collecting individual snowflakes is especially fascinating because each crystal carries its own remarkable geometry. Some develop long, delicate branches, while others form intricate plates, columns, or beautifully symmetrical patterns.
What I especially love about these individual captures is the opportunity to appreciate a single snowflake for exactly what it is.
One tiny crystal, shaped by its own journey through the clouds, carrying a pattern that could never be recreated in quite the same way.
At first glance, a snowflake may seem like a simple little piece of winter. But when viewed closely, an extraordinary world of symmetry, delicate branching, and natural geometry begins to reveal itself.
Once preserved, something that would ordinarily disappear within moments becomes a lasting piece of natural art.
No two snowflakes are ever exactly alike, making every finished piece completely one of a kind. The exact artwork shown in the listing photographs is the one you will receive.
